Hon. Felix Lawrence Lugeiyamu was first elected President of the Open University of Tanzania Students Organisation (OUTSO) in the 2019/2020 academic year.

Hon. Felix Lawrence Lugeiyamu was first elected President of the Open University of Tanzania Students Organisation (OUTSO) in the 2019/2020 academic year.
In accordance with the Constitution, he served for two academic years. Following strong performance, he was re-elected in the 2022/2023 academic year for a further two academic years.
Education
Hon. Felix L. Lugeiyamu holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Mass Communication, is a PhD Candidate in Mass Communication, holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B), and has an academic background spanning mass communication and librarianship.
He completed O-Level education at Kigarama Secondary School (Kagera) and primary education at Bushago Primary School (Kagera).

Work Experience
Hon. Lugeiyamu has worked in various government institutions at different times, serving in roles that include Librarian, Public Relations professional, and Communication and Marketing Officer.
Involvement in Political Parties
Hon. Lugeiyamu is an experienced member of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) and has participated in various party activities. He has also been involved in party leadership and electoral politics, including contesting for Member of Parliament in Lushoto Constituency and contesting for CCM Regional Chairperson positions in Kigoma, Mwanza, Zanzibar (Unguja Mkoa Mjini Magharibi), and Tanga. During the 2020 General Election, he shared a platform with Hon. Kassim Majaliwa Majaliwa, Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, and encouraged Tanzanians to vote for the party.
